Massimiliano Allegri tried not to blame the referee for Milan’s draw in Florence, although “we had a valid goal disallowed.”
The Rossoneri dominated at the Stadio Franchi with numerous shots on goal and Clarence Seedorf’s strike was incorrectly ruled offside.
“The team had a good performance and we had a valid goal disallowed, but the referee saw it that way and it’s acceptable,” said the Coach.
“It’s disappointing. After the break Fiorentina caused us some problems with Manuel Pasqual and the goalkeeper performed two important saves.
“Alexandre Pato played 25 very good minutes and came off the bench to slot right into the match. The team did everything possible to win, but we failed to score and allowed very little to Fiorentina.”
Milan now prepare for the Champions League on Wednesday against Barcelona in a head-to-head for the top of the group.
“It’s going to be a different game. We start from 0-0 and we’ll see what happens.”
