Diego Milito believes that Ricky Alvarez will prove to be a smart piece of business by Italian giants Inter.
The 23-year-old netted in the 1-1 draw at Trabzonspor on Tuesday which made sure that the Nerazzurri won their Champions League group.
“Alvarez had a good game,” said the veteran striker. “As time goes on he'll show what a great player he is.
“He's young and he just needs time to settle in.”
There were doubts about the young Argentine’s ability following his €12m summer move from Velez Sarsfield.
“I am very happy because I'm feeling better now,” Alvarez himself declared. “I think I've played two good games, but the most important thing is that we qualified.
“Coach Claudio Ranieri gives me confidence, we talk a lot in training and he explains many things as do my teammates. I think it's very helpful for me.
“The next goal now is to improve and continue to play in this manner.”
