Edinson Cavani has committed his future to Napoli after Europe took notice of his Champions League heroics.
The Uruguayan international has been linked with a future switch to Manchester City after he netted twice against them on Tuesday night.
However, the 2010 summer signing from Palermo has insisted that he’s more than content at the Stadio San Paolo.
“I belong to Napoli and I’m happy here,” the centre-forward told Il Mattino when asked about his future.
Cavani returned to the scoresheet in midweek after some recent problematic performances in front of goal.
“I kept cool and just tried to be as much use to the squad during that period,” he commented. “I wasn’t thinking about myself.”
Cavani was the star of the show in midweek, but he insists that wasn’t the best feeling he’s had while wearing the Azzurri jersey.
“My best moment for Napoli during my career to date was my hat-trick against Juventus last January,” he concluded.
Cavani, 24, has scored 41 goals in 61 games for the Naples-based club.
