Antonio Di Natale is back on top of the scorers charts and insists “Udinese played an excellent game against a great Roma side.”
The Friulani took until the final 11 minutes to break the deadlock, but Di Natale and Mauricio Isla secured the 2-0 victory .
“It was a difficult game tonight. Udinese played an excellent game against a great Roma side. The Giallorossi were so strong in the first half.”
This result temporarily puts Udinese back on top of the table awaiting tomorrow’s Lazio-Juventus clash.
“We won’t look at the standings. We just focus on picking up points and it would be wonderful if we manage to repeat last season.”
For all his nine goals in Serie A this term and two consecutive Capocannoniere titles, Di Natale cannot seem to break into Cesare Prandelli’s Italy squad.
“The Coach knows that I am here and try to give my best for Udinese. If an opportunity arrives, then I’d be even happier.”
