The latest round of suspensions and fines has been announced following another busy week for match officials in Serie A.
Genoa’s Rodrigo Palacio, Siena’s Franco Brienza, Cesena’s Luca Ceccarelli, Bologna’s Panagiotis Kone and Cagliari’s Radja Nainggolan all receive a one game ban for accumulating yellow cards whilst Cesena’s Nicola Ravaglia and Novara’s Giuseppe Gemiti also miss just one game each for red cards they picked up in Week 13.
Several clubs received fines this weekend. Siena were hit with a €8,000 fine after fans interrupted the one minute silence held for victims of the recent floods in the country. Lecce were fined €6,000 after supporters’ flares affected visibility during their game with Catania and Cagliari were ordered to pay €4,000 after fans insulted the referee during their game with Bologna.
Novara received the same fine for the same action whilst Cesena were also hit with a €4,000 penalty for allowing the entry of unauthorised persons on to the playing field at the weekend.
Pablo Daniel Osvaldo is also suspended for his next club match, but as the result of an internal penalty handed to him by the capital club after his dressing room clash with teammate Erik Lamela.
