Manuel Pasqual has expressed his delight after he finally signed a contract extension at Fiorentina.
“I’m very satisfied,” the defender noted. “It is an honour for me to continue playing in Serie A with this shirt.”
The 29-year-old has only appeared in the Italian top flight for the Viola following his 2005 move from little Arezzo.
The left-back has been in discussions with the Tuscan club for the last few months given that his previous deal was set to expire in June 2012.
Pasqual, who admits that he wants a return to the international set up, has put pen to paper on an agreement until June 2014.
Pasqual has won just two caps for the Azzurri. His last came in a November 2006 1-1 friendly against Turkey.
