Ezequiel Lavezzi has admitted that his Napoli side should have collected the three points against Juventus.
The Azzurri were 2-0 and 3-1 up against the Old Lady at the San Paolo on Tuesday, but the Bianconeri hit back to collect a 3-3 result.
“After scoring the third goal, we didn’t take a grip of the game in the way that we should have done,” the forward noted.
“It was disappointing to draw, nevertheless, we are on the right path and we need to continue on this road.”
Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis was also somewhat disenchanted – especially after Marek Hamsik missed a re-taken penalty which he had previously scored.
“The game finished 4-3 to Napoli for me,” the Stadio San Paolo chief noted. “I am referring to the goal that was cancelled out.
“The decision by the referee to retake the penalty was incomprehensible.”
There was at least one positive for the movie mogul though and that was the brace scored by Goran Pandev.
“Pandev got the chance to play as Edinson Cavani was out,” he added. “Although Pandev was not physically fit enough for the full 90 minutes, he did well.
“I particularly liked his second goal.”
