Lorik Cana is being paired with a return to former club Marseille as he struggles for regular playing time at Lazio.
The 28-year-old joined the Italian capital outfit in the summer after a spell in Turkey with giants Galatasaray.
However, the Albanian has yet to break into the first team plans of Biancocelesti boss Edy Reja. Cana has made just five Serie A appearances, totally only 177 minutes.
Whispers in France on Thursday are claiming that Cana could consider a January exit and Marseille may be interested.
The midfielder originally joined Marseille in 2005 after requesting a transfer away from Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain.
In 2009 he moved to Sunderland and then Galatasaray a year later.
