Diego Forlan is desperate to return to action with Inter, but he doesn’t know exactly when he’ll be fit enough to play.
The summer signing from Atletico Madrid has been sidelined since October with a thigh muscle strain which turned out to be more serious than first thought.
He is back in training with his new club and is expected to feature again before Christmas, even if he doesn’t know in which game.
“I don’t know when I’ll be back yet,” the Uruguayan international told Sky Sport Italia. “But I’m desperate to play.
“I haven't been able to contribute much since I joined, in what hasn't been an easy period, so I can't wait to be able to help the team.”
The 32-year-old has played in just five Serie A games so far this term and he hasn’t scored since the club’s first game of the season – the 4-3 loss at Palermo.
