Paris Saint-Germain target Federico Balzaretti will see out the season with Palermo, his agent has stated.
The Italian international has been paired with a January switch to Ligue 1, but a transfer, if it happens, will only occur in the summer at the earliest.
“The rumours surrounding Balzaretti are exclusively down to personal reasons,” representative Giuseppe Bonetto told calciomercatoweb.it.
“The player wants to join his wife who works in Paris and that is why there is talk of Paris SG, as confirmed by Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini.
“For now though Federico is focused only on ending the season in the best possible manner with Palermo.”
Balzaretti, a left-back formerly with Torino, Juventus and Fiorentina, is hoping to be a part of Italy’s Euro 2012 campaign next summer.
