Inter held off a late Genoa surge to win three crucial points thanks to Yuto Nagatomo’s second-half header.
This was Week 11’s rearranged fixture. The original match was called off after Genoa was one of a number of regions in Italy hit by severe floods that claimed a number of lives. Proceeds from Tuesday night’s match will be donated to the relief fund.
The game had a frantic finish as Genoa pressed to equalise, but Inter eventually held on for the three points  that move them up to joint-sixth in the table. This is the Nerazzurri's fourth successive win at Marassi over the Grifone. Each time as well, Genoa have failed to score.
