Javier Zanetti scored the best goal of the Club World Cup semi-final. “I disguised myself as Diego Milito,” grinned the 37-year-old Inter captain.
The 3-0 victory over South Koreans Seongnam saw Dejan Stankovic and Milito on target, but the middle goal was a wonderful give-and-go between Zanetti and Milito.
“I disguised myself as Milito and he gave me a great assist,” said the defender.
“We needed a victory like this and I above all wanted it for my teammates who are coming back into the side.
“Today we stepped out on to the field with the right attitude and wanted to do well.
“I dedicate the goal to my family. I am happy, as I really want to bring this trophy back to Milan.”
Inter will face Africans Mazembe in the Final on Saturday.
