Aurelio De Laurentiis has claimed that Marek Hamsik has already signed a new contract with Napoli.
Hamsik only signed a new deal with the southern outfit in September 2010, in which he committed himself to the club until 2015.
However, in recent months he and his agent have been in talks with the Partenopei about another renewal, something that five weeks ago De Laurentiis claimed was just days away from being signed.
In an interview with Studio Sport XXL that is due to air on Saturday night, the Napoli President revealed that the No 17 has now penned that deal.
Hamsik, who has three goals and two assists to his name this season, is considered to be one of Napoli's 'Three Tenors' alongside Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
“Will Hamsik leave Napoli? He has already signed a renewal and will remain with us, as well as Cavani who is in a great moment in Italy.”
De Laurentiis also had kind words for his Coach Walter Mazzarri.
“Mazzarri is a great professional who offers something completely different from other football Coaches. I have a wonderful relationship with him.”
