Massimo Zanetti, the owner of the Segafredo coffee company, has agreed a deal to takeover Bologna.
The club was put up for sale just over a month ago after Sergio Porcedda couldn't follow through with certain financial requirements.
Bologna incurred a one-point penalty when it emerged that some taxes on players' wages hadn't been paid.
Zanetti has agreed to take 100 per cent control of Bologna, although controversially Porcedda will remain at the club as his right-hand man.
Bologna's fans had written an open letter in the wake of the one-point penalty telling Porcedda in no uncertain terms that he is no longer welcome at the Renato Dall'Ara.
