Robinho would like to be reunited with Antonio Cassano at Milan even though they would ostensibly be competing for the same position.
Milan have been repeatedly linked with a move for the Sampdoria fantasista, although it now appears that they will have to stump up some cash after initial indications from the arbitration panel presiding over his contract dispute with club owner Riccardo Garrone revealed he is likely to stay at Marassi rather than have his existing deal rescinded.
Cassano has been frozen out of the Sampdoria first team since late October when he fell out with Garrone in spectacular fashion.
"I would like to play with Antonio," Robinho said. "I have already done it at Real Madrid. He is a very strong player."
The arrival of Cassano would be contingent upon Milan getting rid of Ronaldinho who has lost his place in the starting line up at San Siro.
"He has a complicated situation but unfortunately football is like this," Robinho admitted. "I hope that he stays at Milan because when he is well both physically and mentally he is an incredible player."
