Genoa have officially sacked Alberto Malesani to bring in Pasquale Marino. “It’s a shame, but we couldn’t continue like this.”
An official notice appeared on the club website this afternoon, as last night’s 6-1 defeat to Napoli was the final straw.
“It’s a shame for Malesani, but we couldn’t continue like this. Genoa were just terrible,” President Enrico Preziosi told Sky Sport Italia.
Former Udinese and Catania Coach Marino will be presented to the media on December 29. He has signed a contract until June 30 2013.
Malesani has been sacked along with his staff, assistant manager Ezio Sella, fitness coaches Paolo Aiello and Antonio Raione.
