Chievo are reportedly interested in further boosting their attacking options by picking up Andrea Caracciolo from Genoa.
As news agency ANSA report, the Mussi Volanti are reportedly in the market for a forward and have signposted the 30-year-old, twice Azzurri-capped Caracciolo as an ideal option.
Having struggled for playing time and goals since a summer move to Genoa and with the Grifone confirmed as looking for alternative options on the market, the former Palermo and Brescia hitman is thought to be both available and Coach Mimmo Di Carlo’s first choice.
Any move for Caracciolo is believed to be dependent on Chievo shifting either Colombian flop Fernando Uribe, who is attracting interest from Corinthians, or Alberto Paloschi, currently on loan from Milan.
Caracciolo has scored 55 goals in 213 games in Serie A. His only goal for Genoa was in the 2-2 draw away to Turin. Enrico Preziosi has confirmed that the Marassi side will be looking to bring in one from Amauri and Alberto Gilardino.
