Sporting director Pasquale Sensibile has hinted that Sampdoria would consider an offer from Napoli for much sought-after midfielder Angelo Palombo.
The suggestion came this week after Sensibile was probed on the specific issue when appearing on Naples-based Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
Palombo has been linked with a number of clubs in Serie A and the club have on more than one occasion intimated towards his availability.
“We have said many things about this player. The boy is very sensitive and has taken on so many situations. Palombo is currently the captain of Sampdoria though, and if there is any news, it will be communicated at the appropriate times and places.
“What if there was an offer from Napoli? Today, all Sampdoria’s players should have the humility to be put into that question. We listen to the needs of all and then evaluate whether to consider them.
“The relationship between myself and [Napoli sporting director Riccardo] Bigon is excellent. We are young, ambitious and want to progress. We will give our best to improve our current situation.”
