Antonio Nocerino has played down the fact that only Zlatan Ibrahimovic has scored more goals than him for Milan this season.
The summer signing from Palermo has been a revelation in front of goal after netting six in 14 League games. Ibrahimovic has 11 in 13.
“I’ve scored six goals, but I don’t consider myself as a prolific goalscorer,” the Italian international told Sky Sport Italia.
“I’m just a normal guy who happens to be playing in the middle of a host of great footballers,” he continued.
The midfielder is currently in a Scudetto duel with his new club and Juventus – the outfit who signed him as a youngster.
“I owe the Bianconeri a lot,” he added. “That’s because they allowed me to grow up. However, I’m now at Milan and I hope we are the ones celebrating at the end of the season.”
Milan and Juventus are currently joint top on 34 points, two ahead of revelation side Udinese and four clear of Lazio.
