The chances of seeing Antonio Candreva leave Cesena for Champions League outfit Napoli this month are slim.
The Azzurri have been paired with an imminent move for the Roman, but his agent has today cooled the speculation.
“There has been no contact at all with Napoli,” Giovanni Fiore told Il Sussidiario. “The player is happy at Cesena and he shouldn’t move during January.
“Obviously the window is open for a month and we all know that things can change very quickly, but, I repeat, he’s happy where he is.”
The 24-year-old moved to the Stadio Manuzzi on loan in the summer after returning to parent club Udinese following stints at Juventus and Parma.
“Candreva obviously dreams of playing for a top club, but in order to do this he has to do well at Cesena first,” Fiore continued.
Candreva, an Italian international, is a versatile midfielder who can be used on the wing, in the middle or as a Trequartista.
