Filippo Inzaghi has again intimated his willingness to remain in Milan and fight for a place in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans.
The veteran striker has struggled with fitness this season, has missed long periods of training and subsequently fallen off the radar at Milanello. Allegri did not include Inzaghi in his Champions League squad earlier this season and is unlikely to again should Carlos Tevez arrive.
Nevertheless, Inzaghi is keen to remain a fixture at the club, despite reports linking several clubs as interested in a January move.
“I love this shirt too much to consider leaving.
“I do not need promises to play, I know what I have to do - work. I’m fine and I want to play here.”
The 38-year-old played a part in the Rossoneri’s 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday afternoon.
