It has been revealed that David Pizarro walked out of training with Roma due to “a serious family problem” that means he’s flying back to Chile.
There were reports that the midfielder was trying to precipitate a transfer to Juventus when he left the training session early and would not return despite Coach Luis Enrique’s protests.
However, a far more important story has emerged with an official Press release this evening.
“David Pizarro held a separate training session as a consequence of his inopportune behaviour at the end of yesterday’s session,” read the statement.
“The player apologised to the Coach and his teammates today, revealing his behaviour was caused by a serious family problem.
“Understanding the player’s reasons, the club and Coach have given Pizarro leave to immediately see his family in Chile.”
