Mario Balotelli has made clear his commitment to Manchester City in an attempt to end speculation linking him with a move away.
Over the past few months, agent Mino Raiola has wavered from clear denials of his client leaving the City of Manchester stadium to dropping hints that he’d be interested in a move away. Similarly, close friend Davide Santon recently spoke of the uncertainty he sees in Balotelli’s future.
However, in speaking to Radio Radio, the 21-year-old denied that he is open to a return to Italy at this present time, or to any move away from the current League leaders in England.
“The newspapers are saying that I want to get away from Manchester but I’ve never spoken to them,” the No 45 retorted.
“They can say what they want, but I’m in Manchester, am under contract with City and until the right time, will not talk about a new contract.”
Balotelli then went on to intimate such a new deal would be with the Citizens.
“[The Premier League] has been a new experience, even if at first it was difficult, but if I have to tell the whole truth now, then I find myself really well.
“[The team] must stay focused and try not to lose our heads, as happens sometimes, and we must lose as few points as possible. At the end of the season we’ll see if we are first or second.”
Asked how his relationship with Coach Roberto Mancini was, Balotelli was as quick as he was brief with the reply, “Great.”
