Francesco Guidolin admits Udinese “made mistakes” in their surprise Coppa Italia home defeat to Chievo.
“We were doing well up until the goal, but after going 1-0 down we made mistakes,” said the Coach after their 2-1 loss [12].
“They were fired up by their enthusiasm and we lost our tactical balance. That is why they caught us on the counter a few times and wasted some good chances.
“The second half was much better, up until the naive error at the 91st. I believe that if we had gone to extra time, Udinese would’ve been superior.
“The team proved it really wanted to qualify, but a defeat can happen.”
