Inter captain Javier Zanetti has dedicated the Club World Cup to injured teammate Walter Samuel.
“We dedicate this victory to Samuel, who we cannot wait to welcome back to the squad.”
Zanetti's fellow Argentine is out for the next six months after a devastating knee injury.
“This is the 15th trophy of my career and I am so happy to round off a fantastic year,” said the veteran.
“No Italian side has ever done what Inter have achieved in 2010 and all the Inter fans should be proud of this team.”
Many gave Jose Mourinho the credit for the Treble, but Zanetti takes it further back.
“This journey started six years ago with Roberto Mancini and our victory in the Coppa Italia. Now, when everyone is available, this team can fight anyone.”
