Taye Taiwo will remain with Italian champions Milan for the rest of the season, it has been confirmed.
The Nigerian, signed on a Bosman in the summer from Marseille, was being paired with a January exit after playing in just four Serie A games.
However, agent Fabio Parisi has told Milan News on Wednesday afternoon that his client isn’t heading for the exit.
“There is nothing new to report on Taiwo,” the representative noted. “As a result, he will be staying at Milan.
“The proposed arrival of Djamel Mesbah from Lecce? It’s only normal to face competition for a shirt at a big club.
“However, the player doesn’t fear that.”
Taiwo is a left-back.
