Italian international Davide Biondini is on the verge of completing a January move from Cagliari to Genoa.
The midfielder is today in the port city and it is just a matter of time before his January transfer is made official.
Cagliari recently admitted that the player would be leaving the club once his contract expired in June 2012.
Genoa were expected to be his next destination, but it seems as if the Grifone have opted to move early.
Biondini, one goal in 15 Serie A appearances this season, joined the Stadio Sant’Elia outfit in the summer of 2006 after a campaign at Reggina.
The midfielder, a winner of two Italian caps while at the Stadio Sant’Elia, has also played for Cesena and Vicenza during his career.
