Cagliari may have to play their home games elsewhere this season after local authorities locked down the Stadio Sant’Elia.
The club has been engaged in a legal battle with local authorities over the planned renovation works to the stadium that never actually began.
After a series of appeals, Cagliari have finally been told that their arena cannot be used without that maintenance work.
Now the Sardinians and President Massimo Cellino have a race against time to get the building crews in or find another stadium to play their home games in.
