Inter President Massimo Moratti has declared Rafa Benitez's statements were “poorly-timed. For the moment I won't talk about Benitez.”
The Coach used his Press conference after the 3-0 Club World Cup triumph over Mazembe last night to demand four new signings at the start of the January transfer window or he'd walk away.
This afternoon Moratti was asked if the comments had ruined Inter's party.
“No, for the moment no,” was his response. “The statements were poorly-timed in this situation, but at this moment the Inter fans are happy.”
The patron was also asked about the tactician's future at the club, but remained tight-lipped.
“For the moment I won't talk about Benitez.”
