Lazio midfielder Hernanes is ready to end Inter’s title bid – just a week after their Scudetto hopes were revived.
The Nerazzurri beat Milan on Sunday to move to within five points of their city rivals and six of League leaders Juventus.
The Beneamata have won their last six games in the Italian top-flight, but Hernanes is optimistic that they can end the Nerazzurri’s run of form.
“We want to stop Inter’s march,” the Brazilian international told the Gazzetta dello Sport on Tuesday. “We can get a result at San Siro.”
The Biancocelesti are currently fourth in the standings, two points behind Udinese and one clear of Claudio Ranieri’s side.
History favours Inter in this particular Serie A clash as Lazio have won just seven times in 68 games played in Milan.
Their last win at Inter in the championship was a 5-3 back in October 1998.
