Fiorentina may part company with sporting director Pantaleo Corvino at the end of the season, whispers are suggesting.
Stories in the peninsula on Tuesday are claiming that transfer guru Corvino will leave given the club’s problems over the last 18 months.
Corvino joined the Stadio Artemio Franchi outfit in the summer of 2005 after seven years with little Lecce.
However, it is being claimed that the struggling outfit may opt for a change at the end of the present campaign.
Contenders to replace Corvino at Fiorentina include Sampdoria director Pasquale Sensibile, ex-Valencia official Amedeo Carboni and Napoli’s Riccardo Bigon.
Nevertheless, it remains to be seen if the latter would leave the Stadio San Paolo given his success with the Azzurri.
Fiorentina are having another problematic campaign and fans are furious after the 1-0 home loss to Lecce on Sunday.
The Viola are 13th in the table, 17 points behind leaders Juventus and just six above the relegation zone.
