Under-21 international Manolo Gabbiadini is said to be on his way from Atalanta to Napoli during the transfer window.
The 20-year-old striker is frustrated at the lack of playing time at the Stadio Azzurri d’Italia and hopes for more room elsewhere.
Napoli need reinforcements going into the Champions League and Coppa Italia knockouts, as they have struggled to maintain consistency over the different tournaments.
According to Tuttosport this morning, the Partenopei have offered the second half of Luca Cigarini’s contract in exchange for Gabbiadini.
Cigarini is currently playing in Bergamo and co-owned between Napoli and Atalanta.
Like new signing Edu Vargas, Gabbiadini would also represent an investment for the future at the San Paolo.
