New signing Emiliano Alfaro has been presented to the media. “We hope he’ll become Lazio’s bomber.”
The Uruguayan arrived over the transfer window from Liverpool Montevideo and signed a contract until 2016, but there were reports he’d be loaned out to gain experience.
“We are here to present who we hope will become Lazio’s bomber,” declared director of sport Igli Tare.
“I already knew him last year, but we saw the opportunity to make the move and took it. After seeing him in training, we are convinced he’ll be of use to our cause. He never gives in.”
Alfaro is in the squad for tonight’s match with Inter at San Siro and hopes for his Serie A debut.
“I play in attack, though that can be numerous different roles,” said the 23-year-old. “I only know I have to adapt to whatever the team needs at that moment.
“I’d prefer to remain at Lazio, but if the club wanted to loan me out, then I would understand.”
