Aurelio De Laurentiis has reiterated his faith in Napoli to bounce back from their latest set-back in the League.
Walter Mazzarri’s side succumbed to a second consecutive disappointing 1-1 draw against a struggling team this weekend. In failing to beat Siena - and indeed requiring Goran Pandev’s late strike to steal a point - the Azzurri now find themselves in seventh place, 12 points off the League pace.
President De Laurentiis, however, has sent out a message of support to the players.
“During the course of the season, there are times when things are good and times when they is less good.
“I remain convinced that we have a great team and I continue to have confidence in our talents. For this reason I support our group and our Coach, both of which are great.
“We must move forward with confidence in our resources because this is a minor drop that can improve.”
Napoli face Inter in midweek for a Coppa Italia quarter-final.
“We hope it is a better game for us and, as always happens, it is a match characterised by the highest sportsmanship. Napoli takes the Coppa Italia seriously, we hope to do well.”
