Juventus forward Luca Toni has fond memories of playing at Bayern Munich after joking about a return to the club.
The 2006 World Cup winner scored 38 Bundesliga goals for the outfit in 60 games between 2007 and 2010.
“For Bayern Munich, I’d play for free,” he told Bild.
Toni is available for transfer this month as he hasn’t played a single minute for the Old Lady this season and the club are keen to get him off their wage bill.
The former Fiorentina hero moved to Turin this time last year, but he’s scored just two goals in 15 Serie A appearances.
Toni has been linked with Bologna, Cesena, Siena and Parma. There is also a suggestion that Montreal Impact are keen on taking him to the MLS.
It’s unclear whether the player wants to move abroad given that he is set to become a father in June. His contract at Juve expires at the end of the season.
