Lecce boss Serse Cosmi has applauded his club for the January capture of Bulgarian international Valeri Bojinov.
The striker returns to the outfit where he first caught the eye after a loan deal was agreed with Sporting Lisbon.
“I’m very happy with the arrival of Bojinov,” the former Perugia tactician told Premium Calcio.
“He’s still young, but has a long career behind him already – also with some very important clubs.
“I think that returning to Lecce could stimulate him, help him to become the great player again that we admired in the past.”
Bojinov, still just 25, has played for the likes of Fiorentina, Juventus and Manchester City since leaving the Via Del Mare in January 2005.
