Antonio Candreva says he has joined Lazio in order to stay after completing a loan move from Cesena.
The Italian midfielder moved to the capital outfit just before the transfer deadline after being linked with the likes of Inter, Fiorentina and Juventus earlier in the month.
“I’d never been in a situation like that before and I was told of Lazio’s interest in the last few hours,” Candreva told Radio Mana Mana.
“I immediately said yes as Lazio are a great side. I can’t wait to start this new adventure as I’m arriving at a top club.
“The important thing now is to do well and demonstrate that I can be a Lazio player in the future too. I’m Roman and to be back home is wonderful. I’m really happy.”
The 24-year-old joined Cesena in the summer on loan from Udinese. He’s played for Livorno, Juventus and Parma in recent seasons.
