Carlo Ancelotti has intimated that Paris Saint-Germain will make a new bid for Milan’s Alexandre Pato in the summer.
The French giants actually agreed a fee with the Rossoneri for the striker in January, but the player turned down a switch to Paris.
“There is an attacker in the future of PSG and Pato is a great attacker,” the tactician told the Corriere dello Sport.
Pato wasn’t the only forward that the club went for after they also tried and failed to sign Manchester City’s Carlos Tevez.
“His priority was Milan,” the tactician said of the Argentine who ended the month still as a City player.
“When we negotiated for him his requests were so high that in the end it was actually us who didn’t accept.”
One player who the capital outfit did sign though was Thiago Motta, the Inter midfielder who completed his switch on Tuesday.
“Our transfer policy was aimed towards experience and quality – the club did great work. Our signings were also made for the future and we are already thinking of next season.”
