New Inter signing Angelo Palombo reportedly rejected January offers from both Parma and Fiorentina.
The Italian international signed for the Nerazzurri yesterday after an initial loan deal was agreed with Sampdoria.
However, according to Il Secolo XIX, the 30-year-old was targeted by the Gialloblu and the Viola earlier in the month.
Doria captain Palombo moved to San Siro after the Nerazzurri sold Thiago Motta to Paris Saint-Germain.
Inter also have the option to sign him outright at the end of the season.
