The agent of Giuseppe Rossi has hinted that his client will consider leaving Villarreal at the end of the season.
The striker was heavily linked with Barcelona and Juventus last summer, but both proposed moves failed to materialise.
“At the age of 25 he has the desire to win something and to do that you need to be playing in an important club,” representative Federico Pastorello is quoted as saying.
“I’m not saying that Villarreal are not an important club, but to win the Champions League or a championship then you have to be playing for one of the top five or six clubs in the world.”
Rossi, an American-born Italian international, is currently sidelined after damaging knee ligaments late last year.
He’s trying to regain his fitness to make Italy’s Euro 2012 squad.
