Sampdoria chief Riccardo Garrone feels joining Inter was the right move for Angelo Palombo.
The Doria captain signed for the Nerazzurri this week after initially opting to stay with the port club following their relegation last season.
“With great appreciation, affection and kindness, I hope Palombo does well at Inter as he deserves it,” the President is quoted as saying.
“The right moment had arrived for him to find an important team. I think that he has achieved his objective.”
The Italian international, 30, has joined the Nerazzurri on loan but they are expected to sign him outright at the end of the season.
