Inter have held a series of talks with Udinese about the prospect of signing Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window.
The 22-year-old Chile international who has been used as a 'central winger' this season is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in Serie A.
He has long been tipped for greatness and counts Manchester United as one of his admirers.
Inter's chief technical director Marco Branca has made Sanchez a key topic of conversation with Udinese patron Giampaolo Pozzo.
La Gazzetta dello Sport understand Udinese will not let the player go for anything less than €20m, a figure out of Inter's price range considering their preoccupation with being financial fair-play compliant.
However, Branca hopes to bring the fee down and would like to offer a number of young players in exchange.
