Emiliano Mondonico sees himself as “a teacher and Novara players are my students,” as he seeks his first positive result against Cagliari.
The Coach took over from Attilio Tesser earlier this week and his debut was a disappointing defeat to Chievo, their fifth on the trot.
“There is no time left, so we must all try to understand situations as quickly as possible,” said ‘Mondo.’
“It’s a bit like a school at the moment, where I am a teacher and Novara players are my students. I have to follow the lesson plan they started on, because there’s no time to start the course from scratch.
“So far the lads have been very diligent students and ready to work hard. I expect a similar game to the one against Chievo, although the physicality of their strikers represents a change.
“Cagliari’s forwards make strength a prerogative, so keeping Victor Ibarbo and Mauricio Pinilla quiet is going to be tough.”
