Massimiliano Allegri insists Milan can be “satisfied” with their point against Napoli, accepting Zlatan Ibrahimovic “deserved the red card.”
The Rossoneri were reduced to 10 men in the second half when Ibra was caught slapping Salvatore Aronica on the side of the head in an off the ball incident.
“It was important to put in a good performance against a team that was able to put us under pressure,” said the Coach of this 0-0 draw .
“Then we went down to 10 men and in any case did not stop playing attacking football. The point has given us back our spirit that we need to target the Scudetto.
“Of course we have to improve in certain situations, but we didn’t run many risks even with a man down.
“I cannot argue with the referee’s performance. I hadn’t seen anything at the time, but watching the footage you have to say Ibra deserved the red card.”
Juventus also failed to win this weekend, drawing 0-0 with Siena, so the gap remains one point although the Bianconeri have a game in hand.
“Juve aren’t breaking away, because even if they win that other match, the gap is not a concern.”
