January signing Amauri is already making a difference for Fiorentina, teammate Mattia Cassani has insisted.
Although the €500,000 capture from Juventus has yet to score, the Viola have won both games since his arrival.
“Amauri has been fundamental for us wide players in the team,” Cassani, who played with Amauri at Palermo, told Radio Blu.
“He can hold up the ball, he allows the team to move up the field of play and he creates space.”
The Viola beat high-flying Udinese on Sunday and the Italian international right-back netted the second in the 3-2 win.
“I’m delighted with my goal,” he added. “I broke into attack well and I was able to take advantage of a beautiful ball from Manuel Pasqual.
“We prepared for the game really well in the week and we were able to block Udinese down the flanks.”
