The word on the street in Sicily is that Palermo are very interested in signing Cesena midfielder Marco Parolo in the January transfer window.
Earlier this week, Cesena's general manager Luca Mancini revealed that there is a lot of interest in the highly-rated 25-year-old.
Fiorentina and Chievo have reportedly made inquiries about signing Parolo, but Palermo remain in pole position.
Reports in Italy suggest Maurizio Zamparini will offer to co-own Parolo and offer another player in exchange.
Parolo has a contract with Cesena until June 2013 and it remains to be seen whether he'll leave the Dino Manuzzi.
