Genoa have admitted that they may struggle over the next month while Alberto Gilardino is sidelined with injury.
The Marassi outfit signed the striker from Fiorentina in January and he’s responded with one goal in five Serie A games.
However, the Italian international is currently in the treatment room after straining a calf muscle last week.
“Gilardino has added an important value to our squad,” Rossoblu sporting director Stefano Capozuccatold RadioCalcioMercato.
“Unfortunately he has injured himself and we’ll have to live without him for the next month. That is a massive handicap for us.”
Genoa have won three and lost three League games since Gila arrived at the club. They’ve scored 12 goals in those games, but conceded a massive 18.
