Legendary former goalkeeper Dino Zoff believes Juventus should "think twice" before selling Gigi Buffon.
It seems a week barely goes by without a report of the Italy international leaving Turin.
Nevertheless, Gigi Del Neri was unhappy that Buffon spent so little time at the club's training ground while recovering from an injury during the first half of the season.
The 32-year-old hasn't played at all this season after undergoing a serious back operation in the summer.
His stand-in Marco Storari has performed admirably so far this season making his absence somewhat less felt.
"If Buffon is healthy, he has no rivals," Zoff explained. "Juventus should think twice before selling him.
"He has shown himself to be the absolute No 1. If he gets back in shape, he'll have no problem winning his place back."
Asked if Buffon had been ungrateful towards Juventus, Zoff replied: "No, he was frustrated by the long injury and this has created some shilly-shallying within the club."
