Napoli director general Riccardo Bigon believes the 3-0 victory over Fiorentina will be “a great boost of enthusiasm” for the Chelsea match.
The Partenopei are preparing for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with the English side and conquered Florence on Friday evening.
“The team put in a very important performance, both from the unit and all the individuals,” said Bigon.
“We must prove our worth in every single game. Serie A is important to us and we know the difficulties that it entails.
“I think this was a great boost of enthusiasm going into the Chelsea game, as football relies so much on enthusiasm.
“We felt the emotion of the occasion at the start, but I think by now Napoli are used to the Champions League stage.”
Coach Walter Mazzarri did not speak to the media after the game because Napoli had to catch a late flight from Florence.
