Davide Ballardini does not believe Udinese are “in crisis” as Cagliari visit the Stadio Friuli this evening.
Francesco Guidolin’s men have lost their last two Serie A games and were held to a disappointing 0-0 Europa League draw by PAOK on Thursday.
“Udinese are a very reliable team and will be even more eager to prove themselves after the defeats to Fiorentina and Milan,” insisted the Cagliari Coach.
“I doubt they will feel the fatigue from the European test, as they were always in the top spots during the group phase of that competition.
“Antonio Di Natale is an extraordinary player, so his absence is a blow, but Udinese have a strong alternative like Antonio Floro Flores.
“Besides, we’re missing Daniele Conti and Andrea Cossu, who are irreplaceable for us. But we are in good shape and want to put in a great performance to prove we’re following in Udinese’s footsteps. They represent a model for mid-table clubs.”
